Read Error

Post by jorge pautz »

Hi !

I'm getting an exception with the following message "size missmatch on default record", when trying to open an excel 95 file.

The file opens without error on excel.

best regards,

Hello

This may be the case if the file is created by another application than excel. Is the file created by excel?

The previous error was solved with version 4.

Now, I'm getting this new error: "Error on reading record # 104, 0204 Offs: 00000902. Access violation at address...."

I don't know how the file was created...

Thanks,

The file is not created by excel, and it don't follows the excel file format
specifications.

Hi,

thanks for your answer.

The problem is that the file opens ok in Excel 2003, and if I save it without modifications then I can read it in my application without error.

I will try to automate this process for this kind of file (using automation to open and save the file inside Excel). Is there any way to know that this file is out of Excel standards, without receiving an exception ?

Thanks very much.
