Has charting for xlsx been fixed yet?

Hi,
I have read a couple of threads regarding XLSReadWriteII5 charting features. It seemed that this component was not able to make charts for xlsx 2007 files. Is this still true?
The sample files of creating charts are old and they are only for xls file using BIFF. It sounds like it stays as what it was a couple of years ago. Can anyone confirm that Axolot is fixing that problem or we should consider a turn-around? Users need that from 2012, it takes too long for axolot to actually fix it or add the capability.

Improved charts are planned for the next version. The work on the next version will begin by the end of this year.
